ARBORETUM - The NC Arboretum is a garden
showcase nestled in one of the most beautiful natural settings in the United
States. Mountain peaks bound the property's visual perimeters and 1.8 miles
of the Bent Creek stream run through the center of the Arboretum. A wide
variety of classes and workshops are taught by the staff and other plant
experts throughout the year. Educational programs target all ages and range

 Kidding Around Downtown- Downtown
Hendersonville will host a display of decorated goats, April
through October. Each goat will be decorated by local artists.
The goats were picked in honor of Lilian Sandburg (the poet,
Carl Sandburg's wife) who raised prize winning goats on their
farm in nearby Flat Rock. The goats will be auctioned off in
September with a percentage of the winning bid being donated
to an area charity chosen by the buyer. |

BASEBALL - Do you love baseball but don’t want the
hassle or cost of a major league game? The
Asheville Tourists are the answer to your baseball blues!
With ticket prices ranging from $7 for general admission and
only $46 for premium seats, it’s time to take the whole family
to see a game. The season runs April through August. Visit

IN THE MOUNTAINS - Summer is one of the best times of the year
to
hike in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Enjoy the
