Apple Festival - The NC Apple Festival, which started in 1946, is held on
Labor Day Weekend
each year (Friday through Monday) to recognize the importance
of the apple and the apple industry to Henderson County and
North Carolina. The Waverly Inn is the perfect place
to stay while enjoying the festival since we are within walking
distance to the festival held on Main Street. The King
Apple Parade which closes the festival on Labor Day goes right
past the front of the Inn. Make your reservations early
for this annual event as we often fill up well in advance. |

 Tour
de Falls - Each fall the Friends of DuPont Forest sponser
this wonderful event. Buses will be available at the Buck
Forest Access Area in DuPont State Forest on DuPont/Staton
Road to take visitors to High Falls, Triple Falls, Bridal
Veil Falls, and Lake Julia, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for a
donation of $10 per person. It's a great way for visitors
to see the falls without the usual hikes involved. Bring your
camara, you won't want to miss this picture taken opportunity! |

THANKSGIVING TRADITIONS AT THE WAVERLY INN -
For a couple of years now we at The Waverly Inn have offered
our guests an opportunity to enjoy Thanksgiving
Dinner with The Waverly Inn family for FREE. We
would like to continue this Thanksgiving tradition by offering
this special opportunity to you again this year. Stay
three consecutive nights with us and you can share Thanksgiving
dinner and all the trimmings with Diane, John, Darla, Christie,
and Tori just because we want you with us! We'll have
our family style Thanksgiving dinner in the late afternoon.
